These brownies are the perfect healthy breakfast or snack for chocolate lovers like myself, and they are so quick and easy to make! They are deliciously fudgy and are made without any dairy, eggs, gluten, or oil 🥰
𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘸 ⬇️
INGREDIENTS (serves 16):
★ 1 cup oat flour
★ ½ cup natural cocoa powder
★ 1 tsp baking soda
★ 1 tsp cinnamon
★ ½ tsp fine sea salt
★ 2 large overripe bananas, mashed
★ ¼ cup maple syrup
★ ¼ cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
★ 1 Tbsp coffee
★ 2 tsp vanilla extract
★ ⅓ cup unsalted nut butter (*I used almond butter)
★ ½ cup chopped raw walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and grease or spray the pan.
2️⃣ In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the oat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and sea salt.
3️⃣ In a medium mixing bowl, add the mashed bananas, maple syrup, coconut sugar, vanilla, and almond butter. Stir vigorously until combined.
4️⃣ Pour the wet mixture into the dry and fold to combine. Gently fold in the nuts or chocolate chips, if desired.
5️⃣ Transfer brownie batter to prepared pan, and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Try not to over bake or brownies will become cakey. 6️⃣ Let brownies cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares. For a fudgier brownie, place them in the fridge for a few hours.
✨STORAGE: These brownies are best kept in the fridge. If you would like to enjoy them warm, microwave for 10-15 seconds before serving. You can also freeze any leftovers for about 3 months!
